The Formerly “Ralph D Wan” Olarewaju Rapheal Ayomiposi has explained during a recent interview with GOSSIP NAIJA why he changed his stage name to AYO RALPH and his genre of music from secular hiphop to Gospel hiphop.
“Yeah the change of genre actually came about because it’s always be on my heart, I just never got around to it. Thou I’ve been known with my traditional hiphop music and this or that, but due to different ideas to me I saw music as ministry not just a job. So I just felt it’s been on mind too long, I just have to change now and sing in different pattern.”
The formerly tradopop artist further to clarify why he change his stage name
“And what actually gave me the push to change my name to AYO RALPH was when many people complained they don’t know the meaning of D WAN in my stage name”
The name D WAN was named after me when I was still in secondary school due to that I look like a famous senior who is bearing D WAN. But how many people would you explain this to?
So now to make it clear, AYO and RALPH are picking out from names”To conclude, I’m sure this won’t not be the last time we would be hearing from AYO RALPH.
