The event happened 5 years ago when I was still in primary school.

I used to be a bully and I did this with my other two mischievous friends.They were as huge as me and we were like the three musketeers.

You’ll always see bullying or taunting our timid classmates and some of our juniors. Most pupils were always afraid of us and they tried their very possible best to avoid the three of us.

Despite the avoidance and carelessness, someone will always fall in our traps.

A new pupil got transferred to our school few months later, after we got promoted to Primary 6. This new student was very quiet and timid. He was also mentally disabled, so he couldn’t think fast or process any information fast.

We started taunting him from the very first day we heard him speak. We turned it to a daily routine for him and we never stopped doing this to him.

Then one day, he summoned up the courage to report us to the headmaster and we were severely warned to stop bullying and taunting him.

My other two friends obliged and they stopped taunting him. They even apologised to him after the headmaster’s warning.

This infuriated me and his warnings didn’t sit well with me.

I ambushed him on his way to the toilet to unleash my anger on him.

“If you dare report me to the headmaster or anyone again, I’m going to be.at the h.ell out of you”, I said in anger. “Your are just too stu.pid and slow to dare me. Go and ki.ll yoursel. Go and d.ie”.

“I should go and ki.ll myself “, he whispered slowly as tears drops from his small face.

“Yes. You are just to weak and slow. If you dare to report me to anyone again, I’ll make you pass through h.ell”.

I was welcomed by the shocking news of the boy’s death the next day. I remembered instantly that it was due to what I told him the previous day.

I started crying the moment I got the news and everyone started wondering why.

I knew that I was responsible for his death. I started begging God for forgiveness and I stopped bullying people after that day. However, the deed has been done already.

My other two friends died three and two years ago in a mysterious death and that was similar to the way the boy killed himself. Everyone thought they committed suicide, but I knew better. I knew that George’s spirit was responsible for their death and he has come for me too.

“Have you remember now?”, the thundering voice of the Bogeyspirit asked me while I was still on the floor.

“I am so very sorry George. I didn’t know that you’ll ki.ll yourself”, I said with teary face. I was very sure that it was him. Paul started wondering who George is.

“It is too late now. You will meet your friends tonight and the rest of the people you caused their death”, the Bogeyspirit said.

“I’m so sorry, George. I’m sorry”, I kept on whispering pleadingly.

“I promised your dead friends that I’m going to make your own death very painful”, he grinned after saying this.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry!!!”, I kept on whispering with tears in my eyes as the Bogeyman grabbed my neck and he slammed me into the wall.

I couldn’t fight back or make an attempt to run. I knew that I deserve to be punished and killed. I was guilty of body shaming him and making jest of his weakness, thereby causing his untimely death.

I just kept on apologising as he kept on slamming me into the walls.

“I’m sorry Geo……”, I said for the last time as the huge hand of the Bogeyman choked my throat, stopping me from uttering any more words.

“I deserve it all”, I thought to myself as the Bogeyman kept on strangling me.
