I kept quiet and she continued.
”Becky you can always talk to me what’s the problem”

I had no idea how but all i remembered was that i was already sobbing before she took my hands in hers.

”What did he do to you, tell me”

I wiped my tears with my free hand.

”Kelvin totally hates me for no reason”

”it’s true” i took my time and narrated everything to her from how cold he has been towards me recently to his undeserved anger and insults.

”you mean he did all this to you”

I nodded.

”Girl you have to get out of that house” she said firmly.

”V, you are overreacting” i started defending him without even knowing why i was doing so.

”am not overreacting, no woman not even a prostitute nor an ex-convict deserves to be treated like that, who does he think he is, your saviour or what?” Vivian’s eyes were already glowing red with anger.

She nodded and then took my hands in hers again and started advising me like she used to when we were still living together, afterwards i felt calmer within me.

”i just hope she is as beautiful and curvy as her mum” i replied jokily i was delighted to know that Vivian was pregnant, i knew how much she loved babies and the thought of her carrying her own baby filled me with pure joy making me forget about my problems with Kelvin.
