I lost my breath the moment I realised that I was in the same room with my ghost neighbours. A mere staring at the big pot was killing me. “I’m in premium trouble”, I muttered with my hands on my hand.

They were not even paying much attention to me and it seems like they have been waiting for me to come, hence, they showed no surprise for my appearance.

Mr John, Mr Daniel and Anne’s Dad were sitting in a circle while Anne’s little brother was already adding more utensils like knives, pestle to the stained big pot that was beside me. Anne and his mum was absent and I couldn’t sight Steve’s family too. “Did they go on holiday or are they ghost too”, I thought to myself.

I felt like fainting but it wasn’t just coming. I’ve never fainted in my life.

I watched silently as Anne’s little brother went back into the room to bring out more utensils, and I started to tip toe to another part of the house.

I found myself in another part of the house and I was shocked to see Steve and his family on the ground. Their hands were tied like that of goat and Steve was almost bleating like a goat.

They were all sweating with their hands tied to the back and that was when I realised that they were preparing for a party and they are going to cook and eat us. “Anne and her mum might have gone to the ghost market to get the necessary ingredients”, I thought to myself.

I started untying them as soon as I step into the room.

“Who are those people and how did you get here”?,Steve asked me as soon as I untied him.

“This is not the time for questions. Let us try and escape”.

“Who are you and what are you doing here”, Steve Dad thundered as soon as I replied Steve.

“He’s my friend, Daddy. I don’t even know what they are doing here”, he replied in a shaky voice.

“Those people out there are ghosts and they are trying to eat us. We have to escape as soon as possible”, I explained.

“Ghost”, Steve’s Dad repeated.

“Yes, ghost”, I replied with my eyes wide opened.

“You mean real ghosts”, he said again.

“Yes, real ghost”.

“Are you afraid of ghost”, he asked with a smirk on his face.

“Wait, are you guys ghosts too”?. I was already getting scared.

“No no. We are not ghost. I just don’t believe in ghosts. They are myth”, he explained. As soon as he said this, an unknown hand slapped him instantly and the slap threw him hard against the wall. His families scream as soon as he landed on the floor.

“Do you believe in ghost now”?, I asked him while fleeing away from the room.

They all followed suit and we escaped through the back door. Surprisingly, none of them chased us and they were just sitting down as if nothing was happening. I couldn’t even pin point the origin of the slap.

We started running in the dark until we spotted a night watchman.

We explained our predicament to the night watchman and the night watchman who seemed to be vast in charm and spiritual stuff put our minds at rest.

I heaved a long sigh of relief after the man took us to their base. We met two more watchmen and we were more relaxed.

One of the watchmen was outside while the second watchman was inside.

The watchman we met earlier assured us to enter the half built building while he discussed with his other colleague outside.

We searched for a comfortable space in the building and we sat on the floor.

“Good morning, Mr”, Steve Dad greeted the second watchman that was sitting in a dark corner. We couldn’t see his face, so, I didn’t know whether he replied him or not.

I wanted to turn around and explained how it all begin to Steve when I realised that Steve wasn’t he was.

I wanted to alert Steve Dad when I saw the second watchman’s face. It turned out to be Anne’s Dad,again.
